On the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July 2013, the club is holding its annual Regatta. This year we are attempting to provide a bigger event over two days.

Starting at 12md on the Saturday is a 'Celebration of sail' on Hobbs Point, outside the Club House. Food stalls, tombola, bric-a-brac, stone masonry etc etc, will be in attendance as well as the Angle lifeboat, the Police Marine Unit, and a Svitzer tug (All duties permitting)

Members can obviously use the club bar during the afternoon and an external bar area will be set up to sell drinks to members of the public.

At 2pm there will be a cruiser race around the buoys in front of the club. In addition, it is hoped that Neyland Yacht club will put on a dinghy race in front of the club, and Llanion Warriors long boats in attendance.

To be confirmed is a band in the club for members on the Saturday evening.

On Sunday 21st July, is the PHYC Regatta Haven Series race commencing at 11am, which again weather permitting, will be around 3 hours in duration, finishing at Hobbs Point, with a BBQ in the club after for all.

Please make every effort to attend this club event. If you are available to assist we need Marshall's, bar staff, and general helpers. This is the clubs main event of the year and the Committee want it to be a success, so please attend or help out. If available to help please let me know on 'ACLPHYC@yahoo.co.uk.

To be or not to be, that is the question! There is an outer pontoon in Dale and the intention was to have a gentleman's race to Dale on Sunday 30th June 2013, followed by a picnic on the pontoon. The problem being that the pontoon went and damaged itself a while ago, and as far as I'm aware hasn't been replaced as of today. We can have half a picnic, on half a pontoon, or we can raft up and have a rock and roll time. The choice is yours. If anyone has the ability to play a musical note on an instrument then please bring yourself and the instrument along for a ho-down. Seriously, it should be a fun day, if the weather decides to play ball. An 'E'  mail will go out re the event shortly. 

Due to the inclement weather, which seems to only affect days when the club wants to hold events, the passage Race was, unfortunately called off. Rob, the sailing captain is looking to see wether we can run the race later in the season. (Governed by Manobier firing range) Will let you know if we can re-run the race.

This years Tenby Passage race is due to take place this Saturday the 22nd, weather permitting. Join in the excitement of this race down the Haven, round the corner, around Caldey and into Tenby for Sun, food and drink. Hopefully! The forecast isn't particularly good, but you never can tell these days. Start is at 10am, with a sail back on the Sunday.

Just a reminder that  next weekend,  15th June 2013 is Lawrenny Regatta starting 12:00 pm

They are looking forward to a large fleet and welcoming visiting Clubs.

A quick reminder that Valero Cruiser “Week” runs from 5th to 7th Jun at Neyland Yacht Club and all yachts are welcome to participate.

Start time is at 6:45 each evening, we will have boat-starts or club-starts depending on wind conditions.

The forecast is for light northerlies up to about 12 knots, no rain, quite warm and no Ferry – so make the most of it, even if it’s just for one evening! Fiver a race, prizes every evening.

Open to all £10 entry fee.

BBQ in the club afterwards. The Social Chairman love horses but could'nt eat a whole one! so he will make my own burgers so that he (and you) will know what's in them.Perfect BBQ weather this weekend, so he will be cooking up Home made Lamb and mint or beef with apple and a spicy bean burger for the veggies (place an order for veggie option please). choice of sauces are blue cheese or pepper. choice of toppings,slice of cheese and/or fried onions.comes with tomato and iceberg lettuce. Washed down with a cold glass of your fav beverage sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down. niiiiice

This Weekend includes The Skokholm Cup Race which is part of the PCRC Coastal Series
