We look forward to seeing many of you on the start line at 11.00 and also afterwards at the barbecue in the Clubhouse.

Situated on the south side of the Milford Haven waterway some nine miles from the open sea, PHYC  members enjoy cruising and racing of cruiser-yachts.

Local cruising grounds start within the haven and further include the picturesque Pembrokeshire coast whilst areas accessible within 24hrs range from South and East Irish coasts and West Wales to Devon and Cornwall.

The clubhouse offers all customary amenities including bar and social area with race control and spectating, whilst tender storage provides convenient direct access to a good slipway with deep water pontoon serving moorings administered by the club.  Currently the club administers winter storage and lifting at a nearby yard.

The sheltered waters of the extensive haven provide for racing options in almost all conditions.

Our club house is at Hobbs Point (just next to the slip there) and has a bar which is open at the following times (and at other times by arrangement):

  • Saturday and Sunday 4 - 7pm
  • Wednesday night in summer after racing (c. 8pm till 10:30ish)
  • Friday night 5pm - 8pm

We also have a facebook page become a fan on facebook

Our next stop was Nafpaktos, with its’ beautiful medieval harbour, fortified initially during the 5th-4th century and the fortifications were designed by the Venetians. Nafpaktos is a beautiful town and also boasts two Blue Flag beaches, plenty of tavernas and cafes and a stunning castle...
  2. MoneyPennys Blog > 9.9.2020-13.9.2020 Galaxidhi & The Island of Trizonia

Our next destination was Galaxidhi, a small fishing town on the Gulf of Corinth. As we approached through a selection of small islands and a narrow navigation channel, we could see the two natural ports ahead of us. It felt like we were approaching another island but, in fact, Galaxidhi sits on ...
  3. MoneyPennys Blog > 6.9.2020–9.9.2020 Vathi, Methana – Epidavros–The Corinth Canal

We departed Poros early on 6th September and made way towards Vathi, a beautiful tiny fishing harbour on the west coast of the Methana peninsula. As we approached we passed a gorgeous chapel perched on the cliff edge. The entrance to the harbour was very narrow and manoeuvring inside the...
  4. MoneyPennys Blog > Hydra to Poros 1.9.2020-6.9.2020

On 1st September we left Hydra and motored 5 miles across the bay off Cape Skyli (south). This quiet anchorage was beautiful with warm clear blue water. We spent the day with four other boats but at sundown there were only two of us left. A relaxing day paddle boarding and swimming. There was...
